Literature Text

He came, a gift, a call, a credence;
She, bereft, a muse, whose heart had crumbled;
Thus begins this tale oft told,
In the days of god ancient, old; fleeting; beating;
Consecrating domains;
The lands never-ending; the gods done bending;
Thus did they bow; and alas such was how;
The heart of courage was bereft of his means to continue...
This was a request from .PuzzledHeartBox because he liked it.

Originally from a work on soundcloud called "heart of courage".

This really is a wonderful poem - I love how you manage to use words that make your poems look like they were written in times of old; just like a fairytale. The use of many nouns/verbs one after another (ancient; old; fleeting; beating) gives this piece a nice musical-lyrical tone. I really love this. Great job!
