Literature Text

the hastening of the leaves, of autumn forlorn
the spirits have left me, their souls are now long gone
I am left to care for myself in these lands
a wayfarer, a cracked spirit, my heart is torn
I haven't written much Rub'iya in a while. I thought about this today, as a means of venting - it gets lonely at times in Europe, and it reminds me of birds sometimes, how they can fly away to where they see fit. I wish I had wings, but that would make me some birdman guy - I'd wind up flying to the sun, and landing back on Earth, with nothing much to talk about.

Food for thought really. Comments are always welcome. Hope you liked it. :)

I really like this poem...even though it is sad, it's beautiful because everyone can relate to that state of feeling utterly alone in the world, being torn and cracked, an outcast looking for a place to call home...:iconcuteflowerplz:
