The orchid of spring flowers bloom again
Through thick and thin they grow
Weathering the shimmer of bountiful rain
But whether they last is unknown
The spring flower orchid they blossom with cheer
And gleam their radiant colors
Amidst winds and sunset, they reap without fear
And flush away angelic tears
The orchid of spring flowers,
a tiara worn with pride
By Nature that guarded all the lands,
in humor, with gentle strides
The blossoming flowers of the orchid of spring,
With innocent children falling sway
To listen to the sweet cheer of rustling leaves
And the birds merrily chirping
As the clouds make way for the eye of the Sun
With Helios embracing leisure
While the children were busy in their games and pleasure
He smiles upon this priceless treasure
This priceless treasure that Nature bestowed
But alas, my dear, now we must part
And bid adieu to the spring flowers
I pray that I live to marvel these showers
Nature's beautiful treasure, with whom I must part
Oh dearly beloved, farewell
Revised version, 20 March 2013: This version was inspired by a title of a
Cyrisis poem called "As my Winters Wither Away".
The Pale = http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pale
As my winters withered away
To give way for spring's fresh bloom
I found in myself lost in a breeze
Of felicity's gaze looking back at me
Calming my cries that called out in vain
and were not heard till the calls of pain
were a begotten memory as the daylights paled
and the meadows bloomed once more, beyond the Pale
As my winters withered away
Letting me live for one more day
to bask in the orchards of spring once more
And bid farewell what I had lost years before
In the shadows of the past, long gone and forgotten
And luminous lights shone brightly upon the begotten
The disheartened, the forsaken, the paths less taken
I see the orchards, their colors of bright hope
Shining like diamonds and memories eloped
From the weak and powerless lost in apathy
I find in the orchards what I want to be
A man with a face, smiling for one more day
As my winters finally wither away
Spring keeping its cold blizzard at bay
Everything celebrates the life! The spring! It reminds me of ancient odes to god Dyonsius
Beautiful!
And I'm also glad you found the mythological associations in this poem.
The poem is very beautiful
Well... its being read by a feminine poet... so I can say that its only as "beautiful" as the beholder reading it...
I can find multiple meanings in it, it's entertaining and nicely written my dear friend.
P.S.: Thx for dedicating it to me
you deserve it
